Through the Alpha course at Moortown Baptist Church we have found that food and faith has been a recipe for fun and discovery rather than indigestion.

Around 25 guests have been able to explore how faith connects with life – taking in issues like prayer, suffering Jesus and the bible.

Each evening revolved around a cooked meal and table conversation. With these evenings and a day away friendships have been built in a relaxed way. Everyone has been able discover more of faith for them personally.

Of course a great deal of work went into these sessions. We had a willing team of people performing behind the scenes tasks such as setting up, cooking, serving and clearing away as well as presentations and facilitating the discussions. We would like to thank them all – the course could not have been so successful without them.
