On Easter Saturday we held an Easter Fiesta at MBC for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Despite the glorious sunshine (with the odd random shower) the turn out was excellent with at least 100 people attending.
Activities included crafts – finger painting, making Easter eggs, butterfly garlands and pom pom chicks (I have never seen so many teenagers sitting in a circle working with wool for an hour and a half solid); making an Easter garden; an Easter egg hunt; guess the name of the Easter bunny and chick (or was it a duck?!) and face painting – Jonathan Darling and Rachel Fennell painting at least 40 children’s faces between them!
All this washed down with copious amounts of tea, coffee and juice and of course served with mountains of delicious home made cakes and biscuits.
Graham told the Easter story in an interactive way – kids and adults alike joining in with actions.
All in all, a great time was had by all, and it was wonderful to see people from across the generations and those who don’t often come to our church joining in the fun.
A huge thank you to all who helped make the afternoon so successful!
