Caitlin McKeown – Bio

In her home town of Beckenham, Caitlin McKeown has been a part of church life since she was thirteen; she was baptised there in 2006. Two years later Caitlin left Cator Park School, and in 2009 began to raise funds for BMS Action Teams by working as a soft play assistant for Bromley Mytime.

In 2010 Caitlin was herself sent out by BMS as part of an action Team to Nepal. There she spent six months working with the international primary school, teaching in a local Nepali school and getting to know the children and young people in the local youth hostel.

During that time Caitlin, together with the other three members of the BMS team, attended a local language school – a move that made communicating with locals so much easier.

On their return to the UK the team then embarked on an eight-week tour sharing their experiences in schools and churches. It was on this tour that Caitlin first visited MBC, and as the week in Leeds drew to an end she enquired about the possibility of an internship at MBC working with children and young people.

Over the last year Caitlin says that her relationship with God had blossomed incredibly. She says she has: “become so much closer to Him.” and although still uncertain as to where He is leading her, Caitlin says that she is not only enjoying every minute of her time here in Leeds but that she is looking forward to throwing herself into whatever adventures God has in store for her.
