Glenda's final Rock Solid which a record 29 young people attended

Rock Solid meets each Wednesday evening between 6.30pm and 8, at church and is specifically designed for eleven to fourteen year olds. Besides playing some mildly crazy games, enjoying a gloriously indulgent Tuck Shop and honing their table tennis, pool and air hockey skills the young people also get to engage with any number of challenging subjects.

The absolute honesty of the young people’s comments as they immerse themselves in “Chat Rooms” and “Thoughts”, and the sheer enthusiasm with which they throw themselves into even the most bizarre challenges light up each session with a zest for both learning and life that never fails to amaze me.

With a small number of willing reserves on the touch-line the Rock Solid team led by Gary Tate is made up of Kate Slater, Jenny Wright and Coordinator John Sherbourne.
