Mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya

24 October 2011

After a nine hour overnight flight from Heathrow there was a warm welcome for Graham and Glenda as they began their seven day fact-finding trip to Kenya.

With their first two days spent in and around Nairobi and then a three day trip visiting mission stations in the remote Rift Valley it looks as if neither hosts nor visitors are wasting a single second as together they set about exploring the possibility of establishing a 2012 MBC/Parklands mission partnership.

In their latest dispatch Graham reports that one of the missions they visited is run by a lady called Doreen and is situated at Ilchamus.  This includes a demonstration farm, a school and a church and whilst it does have a bore hole for water it has no electricity.

The second station is at Tot. This has a newly planted church of sixty people and is led by a man called Stanley.

Up to now the only picture we have received from Kenya is this one which shows Graham and Glenda standing with two of Parklands Ministry Team, Senior Pastor Ambrose Nyangao and Associate Pastor Simon Mwangi Ndegwa.

However, if you want to find out more about Parklands Baptist Church and you can’t wait until our travellers return they have an excellent website
