Thank you from Charlotte

5 June 2013

Thank you for all your prayers and support during the last few months.

Sam and I went to put a copper leaf on the copper tree at St Gemma’s last Saturday (1 June) in memory of Richard. This was a lovely thing that we could do and we will be able to visit the memorial tree any time in the future. My dad took lots of video and still pictures, which will create lovely memories for all of us, especially Sam.

I am continuing to make a slow recovery. I still have the VacPac therapy on, so I have been going to the hospital every two to three weeks and having District Nurse visits twice a week. Sam and I are still living at my parents for support at the moment, with the aim of being back at our house in Meanwood by the end of the summer.

I have recently bought an automatic car, which is giving me much more independence and freedom. Sam enjoys sitting in the front and ‘dancing’ to pop music on Radio Aire! We have also started going back to our church, ‘Gather’, at Holy Trinity Meanwood.

Sam is a happy, confident little boy who seems to have weathered this storm remarkably. Much appreciation to my parents, especially my mum, in so loving and supporting us.

Once again, my heartfelt thanks for all your concern,

With love

Charlotte Joyce
