Welcome to MBC

Good morning and a very warm welcome to Moortown Baptist Church. During the Covid-19 crisis, like all churches Moortown Baptist Church has been forced to make a number of changes. However, please don’t get the impression that just because our building is closed so too is MBC. On the contrary our ministry continues as each Sunday instead of "coming to church" we now meet online at 10.45am via Facebook and YouTube. Our Seniors' work also continues although in a very different way to how it used to, as does our Children and Families programme with both Oasis and Moortots also going online. If you haven’t already done so may we suggest that the best way to keep in touch with everything that's happening is to sign up to our weekly e-newsletter in the box you see below, right.

Haddon Willmer points us to an article in The Guardian in which the writer argues that “unconscious bias” thought by some to be a modern day fad is in fact a tenet of the Christian Church

October 5, 2020 Haddon's Blog
Thumbnail image for Haddon Willmer points us to an article in The Guardian in which the writer argues that “unconscious bias” thought by some to be a modern day fad is in fact a tenet of the Christian Church Why does Peter Ormerod ask ‘Think unconscious bias training is a fad?’ Because he has been listening to Jesus, so he knows it’s been going on for at least 2000 years. And it’s still needed every day.  Not just in politics… You can see why it might seem a bit faddish or “woke”. MPs are being […]
