Good morning and a very warm welcome to Moortown Baptist Church. MBC is a community of Christians that seeks to love God and live generously. We are an active church based in the Moortown and Alwoodley area of North Leeds, while at the same time gathering many people from surrounding towns and villages. We are a church of people from different cultures and backgrounds. We are here to help people meet God, to grow in relationship with one another and to make a difference in today's world. But when circumstances change, our plans had to change too – so that we can best use our limited resources to help as many people as possible. The challenging economic situation of the last few years has forced our sister business, Traidcraft plc, to restructure and downsize. Some of the vulnerable producer groups, who have supplied Traidcraft for decades, are now facing an uncertain future as orders cease.
